In addition to earthquake-resistant construction of dwellings, we must consider the indoor space safety from the viewpoint of casualty. We developed a diagnostic system aimed at seismic indoor risk reduction based on the evaluation algorithm of seismic casualty risk potential in dwelling space and of evacuation risk to outdoors. This computer system enables to make diagnosis of indoor safety easily and to support a safety arrangement planning of furniture, and besides to specify the victims of the family, the dangerous space in the dwelling and the risky zone of twenty-four hours a day as appropriate information to take countermeasures.
