This paper aims at evaluating the Shigeyuki Izumi house. Izumi family performed ship business from generation to generation. Izumi family ran the private supplementary school late in the Edo era. A floor plan presents the plane of 9 room arrangement. The used wood is magnificent thickly. It is worthy as a dignified and luxurious house. Fortune-telling figure of a house over 3 terms is left behind. From the figure, the building was reduced in consideration of security than the building before the earthquake. A Shigeyuki Izumi house represents Takuno’s private house construction. And it is a very worthy traditional building.
