This paper is intended to clarify the actual status of rental houses in Korea among the Japanese colonial period. It is analyzed characteristics of architectural style and 4 major cities referring the statistical data that shows those situations in 1931. Rental houses in Korea at that time had the characteristics of design and localities in the points of site and floor space, materials of roof, outdoor facilities and so on.
