This study proposed a new structural system for mid-rise wooden building to enhances the strength and ductility using a new steel rod insertion and adhesive bonding joint construction and CLT panel shear walls. To verify the effectiveness of proposed structural system, cyclic loading tests of full scaled specimens were conducted and also conducted lateral load-carrying capacity calculation and time history response analysis. This paper firstly presents the relationship of the strength and ductility of structural system, and then studies the seismic resistance design of the new structural system, introducing an actual project.
