This development is to realize innovative in fill systems for elderly residents' living based on the "open building" concept. Its targets are not only existing multi-family dwellings but also newly built ones. In case of renovation of existing ones, the in fill systems should be assembled at low cost in short time and easily disassembled when residents will need not them any more. Here, as the first phases of the development, several components fittable for elderly resident's living are developed and actually installed in two existing housing units. Consequently the constructability and the quality of the developed system are evaluated.
