The code-based seismic design response spectra are critical for engineers to evaluate the safety and reliability of structures. The spectral parameters depend primarily on the seismic zoning of the site, proximity to active faults, and site conditions. To streamline the development of design earthquakes compliant with the Taiwan Building Code (NLMA, 2024), the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE) has established the “Seismic Design Response Spectra for Buildings in Taiwan (Sederes)” platform (Liu et al., 2023). The Sederes platform utilizes Web GIS techniques and open source packages, enabling code users to efficiently identify site-specific seismic design response spectra for Taiwan.
