The library in today's school has developed into a materials center from book center, and its change is based on social and educational trends.
A materials center is a coordinate agency which has as its primary aim the improvement of instruction through more efficient communication of educational materials to students and teachers.
The role of school library as a materials center would serve as a laboratory for curriculum development and revision.
