Forty-five of 360 isolates from flounder's intestines and seawater showed antibacterial activities against one to all of four pathogens, and they were members of family Vibrionaceae. The 16S rDNA of 15 isolates with high activities were sequenced and analyzed. As a result, eight sequences were 98.1 to 99.4% similar to Vibrio harveyi, five were 97.4 to 99.0% similar to Vibrio ichthyoenteri and two were 98.1% similar to Vibrio fischeri.
