Abstract

The (S)-enantiomer of the sex pheromone of the yellow scale (Aonidiella citrina), (S, E)-6-isopropyl-3, 9-dimethyl-5, 8-decadienyl acetate, was stereoselectively synthesized from (R)-(+)-citronellic acid.
