Abstract

The entire amino acid sequence of Ac₁-Proteinase from Deinagkistrodon acutus venom was determined by using lysyl endopeptidase, metalloendopeptidase, trypsin and V8 protease. The hemorrhagic toxin had a typical zinc-chelating sequence His-Glu-X-X-His found in thermolysin.
