Abstract

We analyzed the ownership and usage of hybrid cars using households panel survey by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. We showed that 1) the higher the age of households’ head, the higher probability of hybrid car ownership. 2) mileage of hybrid car is 4% longer than other type of cars. 3) car mileage decreases together with age and is affected by service level of public transport. 4) households who replaced hybrid cars from other types of cars tend to have longer mileage.
