Abstract

This study aims to find the causes of hazardous vacant houses in rural local government, based on environmental information. First, the external appearances of all vacant houses in rural local government were correlated with the surrounding environmental factors. Second, the findings were examined using interview data from the residents in the neighborhood. Analysis based on quantitative and qualitative methods revealed that external information is important in identifying hazardous vacant houses.
