Abstract

In this study, we aim to analyze effective awareness methods of changing energy saving behavior based on solution-focused approach. The solution-focused approach is an intervention technique that utilizes the knowledge of clinical psychology. We designed a questionnaire survey based on solution-focused coaching questions including the “scaling question” and “well-formed goal” for changing energy saving behavior to 228 youth. Our results suggested that the solution-focused approach increases positive affect, decreases negative affect for changing energy saving as well as increasing their insight and understanding of the climate change.
