Analysis of the Medium-Term Effects of Preventive Care Exercises

: Case Study in Sanyo-Onoda City, Yamaguchi Pref.

Abstract

We analyzed the differences in physical fitness measurements, answers to physical fitness questions, and the correlation between the frequency of participation and the care costs of 1,424 participants of "Ikiiki Hyakusai Gymnastics" in Sanyo-Onoda City, Yamaguchi Pref. We found that it was effective in the medium term in total score of MFS (Motor Fitness Scale) and blood pressure. After three years of the gymnastics, the care insurance certification level improved, and the more times the members participated, the more likely it was to curb care costs. In future, the results of the medium-term physical fitness survey will deteriorate, so it is necessary to introduce a psychological survey.
