Both germicidal Lamps made in Japan and the United States were effective in killing bacteria in the air and the tin-foil can prepared for the dried milk packaging, but less effective in fluid milk and dried milk except the mold in butter.
In case of granular sugar, the thin layer of sugar and long time of irradiation neccesary to destroy bacteria and mold appeared to make this procedure difficult commercialy.
American niade apparatus was stronger than Japanese one in its killing power.
