Message From the Editor-in-Chief

Dear Readers;

Thank you for your support to the Circulation Journal.

Since the first issue of the “日本循環器病學 (Japanese Circulation Journal in Japanese)” was published in 1935, the Circulation Journal has grown up to become one of the leading cardiology journals in the world.

However, the customary paperback publication of Circulation Journal has been suffering financially. Suppressed publication fee (for the benefit of contributing authors) and advertisement charges are not enough to cover the high costs of the paperback publication and delivery costs.

Then, the Directory Board of the Japanese Circulation Society had decided to convert the Circulation Journal to a fully online journal. For these reasons, the paperback publication will be terminated at Vol. 83(12) 2019, and online-only issue will be starting at Vol. 84(1) 2020. The Circulation Journal is continued to be available online, for free of charge, through the J-Stage platform established by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) (https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/browse/circj).

It is our sincere hope that you could understand the current situation and the necessity of our journal to be published as electrical form.
