HD Hyundai is implementing the "Future of Shipyard" intiative to establish a fully autonomous shipyard by 2030 for maintaining global competitiveness in the shipbuilding industry. To achieve this objective, the company is deploying Digitalization(DT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Robotics technologies across critical shipyard operations, including real-time operational monitoring, communication, automation, and safety management. These technologies are applied to enhance productivity, enable intelligent yard management, and ensure a safe working environment, providing a robust foundation for next-generation shipbuilding practices. This presentation will introduce representative use cases and practical implementations of DT, AI, and Robotics technologies in HD Hyundai Samho, one of subsidiary shipyard of HD Hyundai. It will illustrate how these technologies collectively contribute to operational efficiency, reduce cost, improve resource utilization, and support sustainable innovation.
