Abstract
α-Hydroxy-2, 6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol, 3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoic acid, and 4, 4'-ethylenebis (2, 6-di-tert-butylphenol) were isolated from the urine of rabbits receiving 2, 6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol, and 3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde was identified as its 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazone. The glucuronide was isolated also as its methyl acetate derivative from the urine of rabbits receiving 2, 6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol.
