Abstract
The urinary metabolic end-products of meprobamate (2-methyl-2-propyl-1, 3-propanediol dicarbamate) in rabbits and dogs were studied. They were isolated and characterized as keto-, hydroxy-, carboxy-meprobamate and three glucuronides containing carbamate group, but in dogs keto-and carboxy-derivatives were not isolated. Of glucuronides, one was N-glucuronide conjugated with meprobamaet itself and another was ethertype glucuronide of hydroxy-meprobamate.
