Studies on Bisflavones in the Leaves of Podocarpus macrophylla and P. nagi

Abstract

From the leaves of Podocarpus macrophylla were separated hinokiflavone (III), neocryptomerin (VI), sciadopitysin (VII), podocarpusflavone A, C₃₁H₂₀O₁₀ (VIII), and podocarpusflavone B, C₃₂H₂₂O₁₀ (IX). The latter two of them are new compounds and their structures were deduced by comparison of the chemical shifts of the methyl protons of their acetates. VIII and isoginkgetin (XII) were isolated from the leaves of P. nagi. VII was newly isolated from the leaves of Ginkgo biloba.
