Lichen Triterpenoids. II. The Stereostructure of Zeorin

Abstract

The stereostructure of zeorin, a widely distributed triterpenoid in the lichen family, has been proposed as II in connection with the structure of leucotylin (I). In addition, a questionnaire has been presented concerning to the C₂₁-side chian configurations of hopane and isohopane frameworks.
