Synthesis of Spiro [4-hydroxycyclohexane-1, 4'-2', 3'-dihydm-6'-methoxy-1'-substituted-2'-methy1-1'H-isoquinoline]

For the purpose of testing the biological activity, some galanthamine related compounds, spiro [4-hydroxycyclohexane-1, 4'-2', 3'-dihydro-6'-methoxy-1'-substituted-2'-methy1-1'H-isoquinoline](IIIa, b, c) were synthesized by the application of the Bischler-Napieralski cyclization on the N-acyl compounds (VIIa, b, c).
