The structure of agrimonolide, isolated as a constituent of Agrimonia pilosa LEDEB. in 1958, was confirmed by the synthesis to be 6, 8-dihydroxy-3-(p-methoxyphenylethyl-3, 4-dihydroisocoumarin.)
