The tridecapeptide corresponding to the amino acid sequence of rimorphin isolated from pituitary was synthesized using a trifluoroacetic acid-thioanisole deprotection system, which could deprotect o-2, 6-dichlorobenzyltyrosine, NG-2-mesitylsulfonylarginine, and Nε-benzyloxycarbonyllysine. Synthetic rimorphin exhibited an analgesic activity in the tail-pinch test.
