This systematic review examines the influence of transportation policies on public transport demand in motorcycle-dominated urban areas. The objective is to identify the types of transportation policies, research methods, and the impact of these policies on public transport demand in motorcycle-dominated urban areas. This study employed a qualitative systematic review methodology that encompassed the search strategy, study selection process, data extraction, and synthesis. These findings indicate a notable shift towards policies that address environmental sustainability and social inclusion. Policies, such as free-fare initiatives, transfer discounts, and regulatory measures, have been explored to promote public transport usage and reduce reliance on motorcycles. However, the gaps in the literature include the need for longitudinal studies to assess policy effectiveness, comprehensive investigations of policy synergies, and comparative studies across regions. Overall, this review underscores the importance of integrating environmental considerations and social equity principles with transportation in motorcycle-dominated urban areas.
