Phase transition behaviour of an optically isotropic cubic liquid crystal and two banana-type liquid crystals was investigated under hydrostatic pressures up to 300 MPa using high-pressure DTA and wide-angle X-ray diffraction equipped with a high-pressure cell. The T vs. P phase diagrams for the compounds were constructed in the pressure range. The cubic (Cub) phase between the Cr and isotropic liquid (I) was stable in the whole pressure range observed. The Cr-B_1-I and Cr-B_2-I transition sequence for the two banana-type liquid crystals were held although the crystalline polymorphs were observed under pressures.
