Part 3 Results of Outdoor Exposure Test and Consideration of Deterioration Mechanism

Abstract

The powder coating atracts attention as the environment-concious type paint that VOC is not exhausted．Recently,new powder coating combined polyester with fluororesin has developed. About many kinds of powder coatings including that new powder coating ,we carried out evaluation of Weather resistance in the true building and outdoor exposure test at 4 place.Result of outdoor exposure test for two years, a difference was recognized in weatherability between products. I considered the deterioration mechanism of the new powder coating combined polyester with fluororesin which deteriorated in an outdoor exposure test. As a result, a photocatalyst reaction with titanium dioxide of the pigment was estimated to be a factor. By an oxygenated water mist xenon type promotion weatherability examination, I can estimate the deterioration of the new powder coating combined polyester with fluororesin which deteriorated by the photocatalyst reaction.
