抄録

Methane clumped isotope technique, focusing on 12CH2D2 and 13CH3D, has been established in Tokyo Tech. During the presentation, I will briefly overview the methane clumped isotope analytical approach, and discuss its application in two different research topics: I) understanding the sources of methane hydrate in the Japan Sea; II) abiotic methane formation in nature: information from clumped isotope analysis of laboratory synthesized methane.
