抄録
Recently, there have been advancements in the theoretical aspects of the Rf/ϕ strain analysis-a popular technique of structural geology to estimate strain ellipse. The pieces of software that implement the theories can deal with strain markers with arbitrary shapes; and not only determine the strain ellipse but also estimate the error involved. This note outlines the procedure to use the software, and explains the theories.
