There is a complex and profound interplay between climate change and energy systems, which has a decisive impact on global climate governance and achieving sustainable development goals. Energy production and consumption are the primary drivers of greenhouse gas emissions. The extensive use of traditional fossil fuels not only exacerbates global warming but also leads to the frequent occurrence of extreme weather events. Developing and promoting renewable energy can significantly reduce carbon emissions while ensuring energy security and fostering the sustainable development of a green economy. In-depth research into the synergistic relationship between climate and energy is critical for formulating effective emission reduction policies, optimizing energy structures, and driving innovation in green technologies. Future studies should focus on the following key areas: efficient renewable energy management, intelligent energy consumption forecasting, and precise monitoring and dynamic control of carbon emissions. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the coupling effects and impacts of climate and energy, identifies priority directions for future research, and aims to offer scientific insights and practical references for policymakers and the academic community.
