Against the backdrop of profound shifts in the global geopolitical landscape and escalating climate crises, the world economy is facing increasingly complex challenges of uncertainty. This paper adopts a geographical perspective to systematically explore five key dimensions: the spatial distribution of resources and geopolitical risks, strategic geographical corridors and global supply chain resilience, geographic proximity and regional economic integration/fragmentation, climate-induced geographic vulnerability, and regional development imbalances with associated socioeconomic risks. The study reveals that geographical factors not only shape the spatial structure of global economic activities but also act as critical conduits for the transmission and amplification of risks during major crises. The purpose of this paper is to provide a geographical analytical framework for understanding and addressing global economic uncertainty, thereby contributing to the development of a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable system of global economic governance.
