Methyl methacrylate (MMA) has been a useful material in dentistry and medicine, because of its excellent formability and operability. We have already found out that the toxin response genes such as glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) and NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) were up-regulated after exposure to MMA. In this study, we aimed to establish a new system to screen for MMA and other dental materials.
This system may be useful as a new screening method for other dental material developments.
