The neutron scattering technique is very useful for investigating many important featuresof materials. In particular, we can make full use of the capabilities of a triple-axisspectrometer in order to observe the phonon modes. In this report, measurement methodsof phonon modes are shown while showing some typical results and knowledge obtained empirically for beginners.
