Abstract
We conducted a questionnaire survey of elderly people living in the community in order to clarify the awareness related to the death of the elderly and the implementation status of ACP. The subjects were 130 members belonging to the senior club, and the average age was 77. 0 ± 5. 9 years, 80 men (61. 5%), 56 elderly households (43.1%), etc. Approximately 60% of senior club members showed a positive awareness of death with dignity. In addition, in the ACP implementation status, 76 people (58.2%) had discussions, but 52 people (40.0%) did not express their intentions at the end of life. Those who showed a positive awareness of death with dignity had discussions and were significantly more likely to express their intentions. In the future, it can be expected that discussions on death and living will activities will increase by informing the elderly of the actual situation of dignified death and raising positive awareness.
