Multidimensional Functions of Platform and Management in Complex Social Infrastructure Development

Urban development projects based on the Smart City concept are underway worldwide. Smart Grid, at the core of Smart City, is a vast social Infrastructural improvement project consisting of a consortium of many cross-industrial associations. Because a Smart Grid project needs to establish optimal solutions for its stakeholders, including local communities together with local government, industries, academic organizations and citizens, the management of the whole project is the key to success. Project and Program Management (P2M) is one of the project management methods suitable for projects whose individual functions are highly specialized and which interact in a complex manner with each other. The method is considered to be effective in a Smart Grid project. Here we verify the effectiveness of applying Platform in P2M to a Smart Grid project using a case study.
