Abstract
Three years ago, I acknowledged Industrie 4.0 based on IoT. Next, in 2016, Society 5.0 was decided as the core policy of the 5th Science and Technology Basic Plan.
I surveyed some articles and reports on Industrie 4.0 and Society 5.0. However, most of the articles that have been written focus on only one of them. Therefore, I began to seek opportunities to research the relation between Industrie 4.0 and Society 5.0, SMEs in Industrie 4.0 and regional problems in Society
5.0. In this report, I would like to focus on following two items: (１) The relation between Industrie 4.0 and Society 5.0
(２) SMEs in Industrie 4.0 and regional problems in Society 5.0
