This paper reproduces the recently discovered unsigned document "Sugoroku Youki" concerning the ancient Japanese board game ban sugoroku and examines its historical value. Since "Sugoroku Youki" is written in Kuzushiji(cursive script ), expert knowledge is required to decipher it, but this study uses an AI-based cursive script deciphering technique. While verifying the effectiveness of this technology, the results of the AI-based reprinting are scrutinised based on expert knowledge, with the aim of clarifying the details of the rules and playing culture of ban sugoroku.
