An uncle and a sister of the patient were microcephalic. A grandmother and the patient's mother had suffered from paranoia. The patient was a twin. He was mild-natured idiot and a microcephalic.
At the age of twenty-three he began wandering about and at the age of twenty-four schizophrenic excitement occured frequently. Electroconvulsion, insulin coma treatment and chlorpromazine were given individually. Every one of these therapies was found to be effective each time.
