We enhanced the hole-injection blocking structure in a high-gain avalanche rushing amorphous photoconductor (HARP) film by introducing a new process to the CeO_2 layer deposition. With the new CeO_2 layer, the dark current of the HARP film reduced and the maximum avalanche multiplication factor was improved twice successfully.
