Abstract

In this article, the author tries to clarify the problems and future prospects of the teacher training system in Japanese broadcasting education, which is one of the most important factors in development of the education. Several kinds of meeting for teacher training have been held in the broadcasting education. At the meetings, teachers make presentation about their practices and discuss about lessons which they observe in schools. They enable the teachers to acquire practical knowledge of broadcasting education. In the traditional teacher training system, it is difficult for teachers to communicate with each other widely and deeply. Recently, as the supplement to the traditional, new teacher training system based on the network has been developed. However, there are some problems in designing and conducting it. Considering the situation mentioned above, the author insists on the importance of integrating the traditional teacher training system with the new one and the necessity of setting up organization to do so.
