The Direction of Education TV Programs should be in Digitization Era(<Special Issue>New Percepectives for Broadcast Bducation in Japan in terms of its Historical Development)

Abstract

The present study was designed to identify the direction of education TV programs in the era of digitization. Responding to my interview conducted for the study, a producer of education TV programs indicated that the production of TV Programs must be regarded as the most important even in digitization era. In addition, a survey study with in-service teachers was conducted in order to examine the influence of TV viewing on attitudes toward the television-internet interactive programs. No difference was found between TV viewers and non- viewers. It was speculated that in-service teachers were more interested in viewing TV Programs than reorganizing programs.
