Abstract
Recent debates on the theoretical framework of organizational discourse analysis are often focused on three topics; "realism", "materiality" and "micro-macro link". In this presentation, it is asserted that practice theory has important and meaningful suggestions to these topics. The significance of understanding situatedness and indexicality of practical interactions is emphasized. This means taking the practice turn more seriously, while academic interests in organizational discourse arose from the linguistic turn. It is also asserted that the common attitude in both discursive and practice approach to deal with the limitations of positivistic research has not only theoretical, but also practical implications in organization studies.
