Abstract
In the range of about 1500bp in length of 3368 type strains of 16S rDNA, a shorter DNA of about 550bp are cut out using forward and backward primers. The information quantity of the shorter DNA is reduced to simply about one third. The method to cut out the 550bp is considerably simple, so it is useful in an experimental side. Our knowledge is accumulated on this method. In order to make clarified whether the knowledge based on the shorter DNA is meaningful or not, we discuss about the quantity of the information.
