Electromagnetic Wave Scattering from Infinite Periodic Array of Dielectric Disks

The characteristics of scattering and absorption of electromagnetic waves by a two-dimensional grating of thin resistive disks are obtained by numerical analysis. A set of integral equations for the unknown surface current density on the disks are derived by generalized boundary conditions and solved numerically using the method of moments. We apply the transverse magnetic field of the circular waveguide modes as the basis function. The reflected, transmitted, and absorbed powers are computed for several grating parameters.
