An Asymptotic Analysis of Electromagnetic (EM) Wave Radiated from antenna located on a Multilayered Coated Cylinder

This paper presents an analysis of electromagnetic (EM) wave radiating by the antenna located on a multilayered coated cylinder using an asymptotic solution or called the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction (UTD) together with an approximated surface impedance of multilayered coated cylinder problem. The solution requires the surface impedance value of the multilayered coated cylinder problem. In this work, an approximated surface impedance is obtained from equivalent multilayered flat surface problem with plane wave incidence. The preliminary radiation pattern numerical results will be illustrated.
