In this paper, a hybrid PD-repetitive control for single-phase SPWM inverters is presented. The performance of the inverter is evaluated by the output voltage and the total harmonic distortion (THD). A repetitive control can improve the accuracy of the steady state response by minimizing the periodic error. A PD control can improve the dynamic performance. The stability and harmonics elimination of hybrid control is analyzed. And simulation through Matlab proves that the hybrid control scheme can achieve a smaller steady-state error and lower THD when suddenly adding a nonlinear load.
