Microdisk can be expected for many applications due to its high Q-factor and small mode volume. Although microdisks generally are fabricated by lithography method, we proposed ink-jet printing method. Then Q-factor of our microdisk were experimentally measured by cavity ringdown method. However, factors which determine Q-factors have not been evaluated in detail such as factors on radiation, surface scattering, contaminants and absorption. In this study, we evaluated absorption characteristics on hyperbranched polymer which is microdisk material to estimate the absorption loss on Q-factor.
