In this study, we consider a problem of modeling mathematically Electrocardiogram (ECG) waveform. Such a mathematical ECG model is obtained by employing the smoothing Bézier-Bernstein curves. A concise representation for designing the optimal curves with high precision is derived, which has the additional merit of lending itself to the development of computational procedures in a straightforward manner. In addition, we present a method for optimally estimating the so-called smoothing parameter as well as the degree of Bernstein Bézier-Bernstein curves. The performance are demonstrated by some experimental studies.
