A family of bridgeless PFC converters are proposed to enhance efficiency improvement of conventional bridge type ones. Totem-pole bridgeless PFC converter is one of those and attracts much attentions because it has a simple topology and uses the least number of components. However, its conducted noise performance is unsatisfactory and becomes an obstacle for the application of this highly efficient converter. In this paper, the spike current occurs at every input voltage zero-crossing, which is one of the severe conducted noise sources is studied, and the suppression method for this spike current issue is discussed.
