Authors proposed a circularly polarized antenna for radar using UWB high band to detect the position of an object at short distance. The proposed antenna has transmitting and receiving antennas on same plane of the dielectric. As a single antenna element, elliptical printed monopole antenna was used. In simulation, the bandwidth of 10dB-Return loss with a 3dB-Axial ratio is 38.3%(7.01~10.33GHz), covering the UWB high band (7.25~10.25GHz). The isolation between the transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna in the same frequency band was -33.6dB or less.
